Since the COVID-19 pandemic was declared by the WHO on the 11th March 2020 we have seen a deteriorating situation here in the UK, and across the EU, US, and much of the world. Most governments have placed unprecedented restrictions on their populations to curtail the spread of Coronavirus.
Our threat research and response teams have been carefully observing how the situation has developed across the globe from a client and cybercrime perspective.
Information technology, infrastructure and systems are affording much global resilience ensuring our governments, healthcare and businesses remain robust and are delivering the required critical services. However, we are seeing some burdens placed on information technologies due to such things as increased traffic, changes in workforce and community requirements as well as security challenges.
The security of our networks and systems, now more than ever, is a critical infrastructure. iZOOlogic has observed an increase in malicious activities targeting end users and businesses as cybercriminals leverage the increase in corporate communications relating to COVID-19, as well as changes to working environments and our behaviours.
Our priority is to ensure the health and safety of our employees whilst providing the highest level of operational service which is essential for all our clients.
-
- Our office team, business teams, R&D and Support took very proactive measures to work from home before the government advisories.
- At the 24×7 Security Operation Centre in The Leadenhall Building we have reinforced the sanitary and social distancing measures and reviewed the shifts to limit interactions to reduce exposure.
- All our travel schedules and face to face meetings in all geographies have been suspended.
Here at iZOOlogic – it is not just business as normal – but business with a higher sense of function and purpose.
To all our clients, partners and colleagues, across all the countries – we wish yourself and families the best during these times.
We will keep you informed.
