Qatar Living, a prominent social network company in Qatar, became the subject of a massive data breach after a hacker posted its database on a dark web forum.
According to one of our iZOOlogic researchers, the data leak, published by a threat actor going by the moniker “capital-gains,” released sensitive information from Qatar Living’s Elastic Search Database. The consequences of this breach are potentially severe, affecting not only the company but also the privacy and security of its users.
Based on their reports, the breach came to light when a threat actor posted approximately 115,699 data lines on the notorious dark web forum, Breach Forums. The leaked information includes personal details, such as names, phone numbers, email addresses, images, and users’ roles and permissions within the platform.
This extensive data haul poses a significant danger to the affected individuals, exposing them to potential phishing attacks, identity theft and other illicit activities.
The Qatar Living database arrived on the dark web platform earlier this month.
